Now then, I'm Seb

What I do here

TCG is not just my job, but my Ikigai - my purpose. I truly believe in the power of helping people and improving their lives through fitness and have successfully been doing that for over 10 years… So what I do here is create a place and coach people to be able to live the healthiest, fittest and most fulfilled lives they can.

Coaching, listening & really understanding all the moving parts is what i do best. But im also here to develop this gym into a place that people love coming to and is successful, so we can improve it for you.

Im continually learning everything from Nutrition & Life coaching to Gymnastics & Olympic Weightlifting so that I can use the knowledge to give each one of our members the best fitness journey they’ll find anywhere.

I became a coach after 11 years in Civil Engineering. I totally changed & improved my life in the space of a year and thats why its become my purpose to help other improve theirs!

Hey, I'm Jen

What I do here

Seb right hand..but My main focus is making sure you feel welcome and part of the team in whatever way feels right for you. Working behind the scenes to make your journey fun, memorable and fully supported across everything we offer. As a coach, I’m here to help you get the most out of every session whether that’s pushing yourself or letting me guide you through it.

I’ve been on this journey with Seb since day one (ish) I spent almost 8yrs as his client, learning this sport from the ground up. I’ve also expanded my own knowledge through GB Athletes to deepen my understanding as an athlete. Now I bring all of that experience, learning and lived training back into our community, using it to support you, build your confidence and help you level up in your own journey.

I’m a jack-of-all-trades - went from Musical Theatre to Tech Delivery consultant to running a whole gym. The story makes zero sense... but its life to be enjoyed!

Hiya, I'm Bex

What I do here

As a busy mum of 2 pushing 40 (ageing like a fine wine though 🤎) and working full-time in the NHS, I’m living proof that you can prioritise your health. With the right motivation, guidance and coaching, we can become our happiest, strongest selves and after 5+ years in the game, I’m all in 😊

I’m approachable, energetic and a great listener. I’ll push you when you need it, challenge you when you’re ready, and support you every step of the way. My goal? To make every session the most uplifting, confidence-boosting hour of your day.

Iya Folks

What I do here

My role at TCG is to support you in your training journey so you can get the most out of your experience with us.

I’ll be on the gym floor running sessions and working in the background with Seb, making sure we have the best training programmes to get the best possible results.

I’m a bit of a training nerd, which makes me quite methodical in how I coach - but fitness should be fun, so let’s have a laugh along the way!

I’ve recently joined this gym on a trial. I’ve wanted to join for a little while but I was a bit anxious as I’ve not done anything similar. On my first session the owners Seb and Jen showed me round the gym, introduced me to the others doing a session and talked me through different skills/exercises at my pace. It was so rewarding, at first I couldn’t get my head round a specific movement, however, Seb took me through it step by step and by the end of the session I felt like I’d progressed significantly. I was absolutely buzzing. The others in the small group gave me encouragement too, it’s such a nice community.

I then attended one of the weekend Sweat classes which is a larger class. Again everyone was so friendly, supportive and at no point did I feel overwhelmed. At the end some people stayed for a coffee/chat, unfortunately I had to leave as I had a family event, however, Seb messaged me that evening just to see how I found the class which I thought was a really nice touch.

I’d recommend this gym to anybody. The support and guidance is brilliant, I wish I’d joined sooner.

Seb is a great PT and coach. I have been training with him for over three years and cannot recommend him enough. Tough Cookie Training is not only his business but also his passion. Seb invests time in his own development and it shows in the way he manages his business and training programmes. I would recommend Seb to anyone who looks to improve not only their physical ability but also mindset and focus on setting and achieving goals. Seb created a great training community so no one is a stranger to other people training with Seb. Seb's decision to start small group PT was a game changer for all of us who train with him - it is great to do PT training alongside other people -and learn from them as well as from Seb.
